Entry Preparation

Please review all of the awards categories and select the very best category for your entry.
Each entry must include:
  • Two copies of all entry materials, packaged in separate three-ring binders with copies of a completed entry form in the front of each binder.
  • Include a letter of permission for the supporting client (when applicable).
  • All entries must include samples when appropriate and a detailed work plan of no more than two typewritten, double-spaced pages detailing the following information:
Project Objectives: Describe your goals and objectives. They must explain the need for, purpose, strategy, and desired impact of the communication project. Objectives should be listed as measurable outcome statements.
    Target Audience(s):
Describe your target audiences, both primary and secondary. Include demographic information and/or characteristics.
    Project Budget:
All time and funds spent by the sponsoring organization and any outside consultants or freelancers, including the value of any donated time and materials must be outlined. Please provide a line-item budget.
Project Execution: Describe how the material was developed, produced, and distributed. Try to be specific - strategy, response to challenges, etc.
Results: Effectiveness of the project; provide tangible measurable evidence such as sales increases, market share gains, inquiries, etc. Did you meet your goals? Why or why not?
These additional details for your entry will help judges assess your project/program:
  • Label the work plan. List the following information at the top of page one:
    1. Category
    2. Entry title
    3. Entrant's name (name to appear on award)
    4. Entrant's organization / Client organization or outside agency (if applicable)
    5. Time period of project - Specify when the communication project took place.
    6. Brief description - Provide a one- or two-sentence description of your entry.
    7. Write the work plan. Include measurable details - see above.
  • Complete all fields on the entry form. Additional copies of the entry form may be found online at www.IABCNashville.com, printed and attached to your entries.
  • Submit two copies of entry materials. The duplicate entry helps ensure that, in the event of damage or loss of all or part of your entry, your entry will be judged and have an opportunity for an award.) Secure all CDs or loose items in a holder or sleeve. Clearly identify CDs with the category, entry title and entrant's name. IABC Nashville is not responsible for items that get separated or lost during shipping and handling.
  • Package your entry carefully. IABC Nashville is not responsible for lost or damaged entries.
